4 criteria for choosing a tailored suit

If you've decided to complete your wardrobe with a few essential custom suits that you can rely on regardless of the occasion or season, follow the four simple steps below.

1. Occasion or daily routine? You can opt for a slim, custom-made suit for summer, another suit suitable for the cold season, a gala suit, which includes a tuxedo, ideal for gala events, and an office suit, for everyday wear. Depending on the event you have, Tudor Personal Tailor can create a custom-made suit, perfectly adapted to your measurements and current trends.

2. Number of buttons. You can opt for custom-made suits with two buttons, with which you can never go wrong, because they will always be a classic piece, or you can opt for suits with two rows of buttons, which give you elegance, attitude and create a slim silhouette. If you are wondering how many buttons are suitable for a formal suit, we recommend a maximum of 2 buttons on the jacket, perfectly matched to the shade of the entire outfit. Regardless of the model chosen, you will definitely catch the eyes of those around you with a touch of originality.

3. Number of pieces. Depending on the type of suit you choose and the season, you can opt for two or three clothing items. The vest is back in trend and there are situations in which it can be worn elegantly, especially if you choose to forgo the jacket. You can wear the last buttons unbuttoned if you want to highlight the belt.

4. The material/fabric of the suit. Try to have suits that cover as many material variations as possible. You can opt for wool, silk, silk brocade, velvet for special occasions or 100% cotton, or in combination with wool, for summer. Depending on the season, the material you choose is very important in order to feel as comfortable as possible. Also take into account the advice of the clothing advisor because he recommends what suits you best. The model, fabric and the rest of the details matter a lot in terms of shaping the perfect suit.
